- Obtain existing drawings and survey the proposed work areas.
- Identify structural, utility and concealed-condition investigations needed.
- Confirm which departments remain occupied during the works.
- Agree staff, visitor, patient and construction access arrangements.
- Review temporary services, isolation and shutdown requirements.
- Coordinate the work plan with the hospital's clinical, facilities and
  infection-prevention teams and the appointed specialists.
- Sequence demolition, civil works, MEP and interior installation by zone.
- Confirm equipment relocations and vendor attendance before moving equipment.
- Track drawings, selections and changes that affect later phases.
- Define cleaning, inspections, system checks and snagging for each phase.
- Agree handover records and responsibility for authorising clinical reopening.
