YOUR QUESTIONS

Before we start

How do I begin a hospital project with LaxAir?

Share your project location, current stage, planned services and available drawings. The team will discuss the scope and the information needed for a useful next review.

Can you work with my architect or equipment suppliers?

The team can discuss coordination with existing advisers and vendors. Responsibilities, drawing inputs and installation interfaces should be agreed in the scope.

Do you handle new construction and renovation?

The service offering includes hospital construction, renovation and expansion. Existing facilities need a review of current conditions and operational constraints.

What determines the project timeline?

Scope, design status, site conditions, decision schedules, procurement and project-specific reviews affect the programme. A timeline should be prepared for the actual project.

Can I request a cost estimate online?

Use the enquiry form to share your brief. A meaningful proposal depends on drawings, specifications and scope; this website does not provide a universal construction rate.

Are the photographs all completed LaxAir projects?

The project gallery uses photographs from the LaxAir portfolio. Other pages also use illustrative Unsplash photography; those images do not imply a project relationship or endorsement.

SERVICES

Scope and delivery

What is needed for an initial construction discussion?

Share the city, site area, planned built-up area, intended specialties, bed capacity and available drawings. These help define the next level of technical review.

Does turnkey automatically include medical equipment?

Equipment is included only where it is expressly listed in the agreed scope. Owner-provided equipment should still be coordinated for access, utilities and installation requirements.

Can planning begin before the bed count is final?

Yes. Early studies can compare different capacity scenarios. The preferred option should be agreed before detailed design and procurement decisions are finalised.

Can interiors be upgraded in an operating hospital?

They can be planned in phases. The sequence, access restrictions and temporary arrangements need agreement with the hospital operations team before works begin.

Is there one standard OT package for every hospital?

No. The room brief, clinical requirements, equipment selection and project specifications determine the package. These should be resolved before ordering components.

Can ICU capacity be added within an existing building?

Feasibility depends on available space, access and infrastructure capacity. A survey and coordinated technical review are needed before confirming the scope.

Can existing pipelines be extended?

An extension needs a review of the existing installation, capacity and shutdown constraints. It should not be assumed feasible from the proposed number of outlets alone.

When should MEP planning start?

It should begin during early architectural planning. Plant rooms, shafts and distribution zones are difficult to accommodate well after layouts have been fixed.

Can a plant be selected using bed count alone?

Bed count is only one input. Clinical demand assumptions, existing infrastructure and the proposed supply strategy need a specialist review before equipment is selected.

Does renovation always require a complete shutdown?

Not always. Whether phased operation is possible depends on the works and the facility. Shutdown requirements must be agreed through a site-specific review.
